Thermofoil Heavy Duty Sarking Foil 753

ThermofoilTM Heavy Duty Foil is a heavy weight sarking with enhanced puncture and wind flap resistance. It is designed for use under both tiled and metal deck roofs for residential and commercial sites.

ThermofoilTM Heavy Duty Foil is a heavy weight aluminium foil product consisting of two layers of aluminium foil and paper laminate, bonded with a flame adhesive and reinforced with 26GSM of fibreglass woven in a tri-directional pattern providing high strength and serviceability. Thermofoil 753 has a green anti-glare coating on one surface to reduce glare.

Applications

ThermofoilTM Heavy Duty acts as a waterproof sarking when installed beneath the primary roofing material, providing a vapour barrier against moisture, wind, heat, dust penetration and condensation control under metal deck roof.

Thermofoil's intergral thermal insulation properties also contribute to keeping homes warmer in winter and cooler in summer.  Additionally, the installation of Thermofoil Heavy Duty sarking will add to the overall thermal performance of the domestic, industrial and commercial buildings, cold stores and cool rooms when a clear airspace of at least 20mm or more is provided at the reflective side of the foil face.

It improves light diffusion and utilisation when used as an exposed internal roof lining. Thermofoil Heavy Duty Sarking has a green antiglare to reduce reflection from the external face of a building which is an important site construction and road safety requirement.

Thermofoil Heavy Duty Sarking when used under metal decking roof should be fitted under the batten, batten thereby providing the required air space of 20mm in between metal cladding and the Thermofoil. Due to its unique construction, Thermofoil Heavy Duty has a low water vapour transmission rate making it an excellent vapour barrier for facing bulk insulation and SPI pipe sections. An ideal reflective facing for Glasswool and FibertexTMRockwool, Thermofoil Heavy Duty is suitable for applications where high tensile strength and impact resistance is required.
